Meet Your Host
Annie
Hi, I’m Annie — and I started The Quiet Corner Bedtime Stories because I’ve always believed in the magic of storytelling: the way a beautifully written tale can slow the world down, bring comfort, and create a moment of peace at the end of a long day.
Sharing these classic stories with you each week has become one of my greatest joys. Knowing that a gentle reading might help you unwind, relax, or drift off to sleep fills me with so much warmth and purpose.
Here in The Quiet Corner, I read the stories I’ve treasured for years — from L.M. Montgomery and Louisa May Alcott to Arthur Conan Doyle, Jane Austen, Tilly Aston, and many more. Each episode is created with soft narration, thoughtful pacing, and a love of timeless literature.
Where am I from?
I’m based in Australia, on the beautiful NSW South Coast — a peaceful place that inspires the calm and cosy spirit of this podcast.
Meet Amon
I also have a co-host, Amon (my husband), who reads to you from time to time.
He’s especially fond of Sherlock Holmes and enjoys bringing Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s worlds to life — from the beloved detective tales to some of Doyle’s more mysterious or macabre stories.
Together, we hope to offer you a quiet corner of comfort and classic storytelling.
Thank you for being here — and sweet dreams.

At The Quiet Corner Bedtime Stories, we offer a wide range of classic tales — from gentle and nostalgic to curious, mysterious, and occasionally dark.
While most of our episodes are comforting and cozy, we sometimes explore the stranger corners of classic literature, especially during special themed episodes like Halloween or Friday the 13th.
To help you choose the stories that suit your mood or bedtime routine, we’ve created a simple guide:
🌙 Cozy
Gentle stories with warm, wholesome themes. Suitable for all listeners.
⚠️ Sensitive Themes
Stories that touch on topics like grief, loss, or emotional distress.
Still bedtime-friendly, but may not suit every listener.
🔪 Dark or Disturbing
Stories with darker content, such as horror, psychological themes, or violence. These are usually featured in special episodes and include a content warning at the start.
